A simple radiator flush requires a Phillips head screwdriver or wrench, rag, radiator flush solution, coolant, funnel, and receptacle for the used coolant. You can also replace the engine PCV valve for low cost with a set of needle nose pliers and a replacement valve. Regular car repair projects performed by the owner can contribute to the long life of a car. More complicated tasks are best left to the certified car repair technician, however.
